Removing the left hand seat

- Protect working area.
- Handle tools and components carefully.
- Fold both rear seats forwards.
- Using the special tool 0 496 571 (00 9 327)
, carefully unclip the covers (1) and (2).
- Loosen screws (1).
- Fold both rear seats into their normal position.
- Using the special tool 0 496 571 (00 9 327) , carefully unclip the cover (1) within the marked are (2).
- Using the special tool 0 496 571 (00 9 327)
, carefully unclip the covers (3).
- Loosen screws (1).
NOTE:
Description is for right component only. The procedure on the left side is identical.
- Unclip the emergency release (2).
- Pull the emergency release (2) to fold the rear seat backrest (1) down.
Disconnecting all battery ground leads
NOTE:

- Unclip the cable clip (1).
- Unlock plug connection (2) and disconnect.
CAUTION:
Heavy component

- Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.
- With the assistance of a second person, carefully lift the left hand seat (3) out of the vehicle.
