Removing the top safety partition wall

- Refer to REMOVING THE COUNTER SUPPORT FOR THE SUN VISOR ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE ROOF FUNCTION CENTER (FZD) .
- Refer to REMOVING A-PILLAR TRIM PANEL, LEFT AND RIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE TOP LEFT AND RIGHT B-PILLAR TRIM PANELS PARTIALLY .

- Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.
NOTE:
Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Loosen screws (1).
- Remove the protective plate (2).

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Carry out the following steps with the help of 3 support persons:
2 persons are present in the vehicle interior, 2 persons are outside the vehicle.

- Loosen screws (1).
- Carefully thread out the safety partition wall (2) at the protective plate on the roof.
In doing so, make sure that the safety partition wall (2) at the bottom and top is supported with hands.
- Pass the safety partition wall (2) from the vehicle interior through the tailgate cutout to the persons standing outside the vehicle.
