- Remove the remaining piece of stiffening plate (1) from the D-pillar.
- Mark and make the separating cuts on the new part in accordance with the separating cuts on the vehicle.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
For additional information see 4100... REINFORCEMENT PLATE WITH STUD BOLT (BONDED OR WELDED) (ALL X5 MODELS, 2019-2022) . - Prepare the reinforcement plates at separating cuts for the welded connection and the adhesive connection.
- Prepare separating cut (1) and reinforcement plate (2) for joining by welding.
- Prepare the separating cut (1), the reinforcement plate (2) (universal) and area (3) for joining by welding.
- Prepare separating cut (1) and reinforcement plate (2) for joining by bonding.
- Prepare separating cut (1) and reinforcement plate (2) for joining by bonding.
- In area (1), drill 12 bores with a diameter of 4.2 mm for blind rivets.
- Remove new part and deburr holes.
