Removing Tail Panel Outer Section And Inner Section

NOTE: Perform the steps on the left and right side.

Mark severance cut (1) in accordance with dimension and disconnect. Disconnect only the outer panel.
Dimension a = about 20 mm below the component edge of the tail light mount.

NOTE: Install the new part overlapping in area above the separating cut. (Bonded rivet method)

Open welded connections in area (1).

Perform the rough separating cut (1) as shown.
Loosen welded connections in areas (2).
Remove the tail cowling of outer skin.

Perform coarse separating cut (1) on reinforcement plate (2) as shown.

Open welded connections in areas (1) and (2).
Release the welded connections as per possibility with the file belt sander.

Remove the central section of tail panel.

Remove the outer section of tail panel.

Open the welded connections in area (1) and remove the metal section (2).
Do not damage the sheet metal cutout (3).
