37 13... Installation notice for a new pipe or screw connection (X5 xDrive 40i, 2019-, X5 sDrive 40i, 2020-, X5 xDrive 50i, 2019, X5 M50i, 2020-, X5 xDrive 45e, 2021-)

Attention!

Do not kink, twist or crush the pipes!

Do not disassemble the screw connection!

Do not remove the screw connection from the old pipe .

New screw connection may only be installed together with the new pipe!

The new pipe may only be installed together with new screw connection!

Failure to observe this requirement will result in damage and leakage in the air spring system!

Install new screw connection:

Screw in new screw connection consisting of a toothed washer (1), banjo bolt (2) and mounting plug (3) completely into the pipe connection of the air supply system/air spring/pressure accumulator manually and tighten it with a torque wrench.

NOTE: The tightening torque can be found in the repair instructions of the respective component (air supply system/air suspension/pressure accumulator).

Pull out the mounting plug (3).

Insert new pipe (1) up to the mark in the banjo bolt (2).

Check installation position of pipe (1) by pulling it back lightly.

NOTE: If the pipe (1) cannot be pulled back, the toothed washer (3) is engaged correctly.

Attention!

To avoid leaks in the air spring system, scratches on the pipes must be avoided, particularly in the connection area!
