Checking/Topping up the transfer box oil (Active Torque Control 13-1)

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE 
Damage to the transmission  .
Damage to the transmission due to unapproved transmission oil  .

• Use only the approved transmission oil.
• Check the transmission oil level after completing the repair.

• Open the oil filler plug (1).
• Check the transmission oil level on the transfer box (VTG).

• If necessary, top up the transmission oil up to the lower edge of the opening for the oil filler plug using special tool 0 493 337 (00 2 080) .

• Replace the oil filler plug (1).

  Parts:  Oil filler plug

• Tighten the oil filler plug (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Oil filler and oil drain plugs
M22	Tightening torque	60 Nm
