Removing the Roof function center (FZD)

Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
With the optional equipment SA6UA, the camera for gesture control is integrated in the roof control module. Separate exchange of this camera in the event of a fault is not possible.

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Before replacing the control unit: If necessary, save the customer-specific vehicle settings.
Also determine and note the status of the function "rain closure" in the head unit menu.
After replacing the control unit, restore customer-specific settings.
The function "rain closure" may not be selected with US vehicles.

Unclip the cover (1).

Loosen screws (1).

Disengage the Roof function center (FZD) (1) from the clamps (2).
Ease out the Roof function center (FZD) (1) from the guides (3).

Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1).
Unclip the cable for the Roof function center (FZD) (2) from the cable holder.
