Removing the 12V dual storage system

- Make sure that there is no charger connected to the jump start terminal in the engine compartment.
- Detach battery ground lead from battery.
- For auxiliary batteries: Detach battery minus cables from all auxiliary batteries.
Preliminary work
- Refer to DEACTIVATING THE 48 V ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .

- Loosen the detents (1).
- Remove the positive terminal cover (2).
- Loosen nut (3).
- Remove battery rollover protection bracket (4).
- Unlock plug connection (5) and disconnect.
- Loosen nut (1).
- Detach the positive battery cable (2) from the positive battery terminal and secure laterally.WARNING: Unprotected battery terminals .

- Open the grab handle and remove the 12-V dual storage battery (3).
