Preparing New Part

• Mark separating cuts on the new part in accordance with separating cuts on the vehicle and cut.
  NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION 
  For additional information see 4100... WELDING IN REINFORCEMENT PLATE (SHEET STEEL) (ALL X5 MODELS, 2019-2022) .
• Prepare reinforcement plates on the separating cuts for joining by welding.
• Remove all coarse thread bolt (1) at the reinforcement plates for the door sill separating cuts.

• Adjust new part and prepare for joining by welding in areas (1) and (2).

• In the areas (2), observe the procedure for replacing spot-welded adhesive joints for series production.
