Remove Outer Wheel Arch Section With Reinforcement

Further information is available.

• Remove the outer cavity sealing (1).
• Release welded connections in areas (2).
• Release the C-pillar support from the cavity sealing (3) and remove.

• Mark and make the separating cut (1) according to the dimension a. Dimension a = 20 mm.
• Open welded connections in area (2).

• Continue with the separating cut (1) from the previous operation as shown. Thereby disconnect only the outer panel.

• Mark and perform the separating cuts (1) and (2) according to the specified dimensions.

  Thereby disconnect only the outer panel. Do not damage the third panel that is located right behind it.

  Dimension a = 20 mm.

  Dimension b=170 mm.

• Continue with the separating cut (1) from the previous step on the inside as shown. Thereby disconnect only the outer panel.
• Open welded connections in area (2).

• Release welded connections in areas (1).

• Release the spot-welded adhesive joints in area (2).

• Remove outer section of wheel arch.
