Remove Carrier Support

• Release the self-tapping screws in area (1).
  NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION 
  For additional information see 4100... OPENING BONDED CONNECTIONS (ALL X5 MODELS, 2019-2022) .
• Heat and release the bonded connection in area (1).

  Do not damage the aluminum engine mount (2) in the process!

• Mark and perform the separating cut (1) in accordance with the specified dimensions.

  Do not damage the aluminum shock tower (2)!

  Dimension (a) = 160 mm from the component edge.

  Dimension (b) = 165 mm from the component edge.

  Completely cut through and remove the carrier support (3).

• Release the rivet connectors in area (1).
• Heat and release the bonded connections in area (1).

  Do not damage the aluminum shock tower!

• Remove the section from the carrier support (2) together with the lower cavity sealing (3).

• Release the rivet connectors in area (1).
• Heat and release the bonded connections in area (1), and remove section (2).

• Release the rivet connectors in areas (1) and (2).
• Heat and release the bonded connections in areas (1) and (2). Do not damage the aluminum shock tower!
• Remove the partial piece (3).
