Preliminary work
- Refer to DEACTIVATING THE 48 V ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
- Refer to REMOVING THE AIRBAG UNIT (SPORTS STEERING WHEEL) .
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
When releasing the screw, have a support person brace the steering wheel in order to reduce torque on the steering column!

- Shift the steering wheel and wheels to the straight ahead position.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- If installed: Unlock plug connection (2) and disconnect.
- Release the screw (3) and detach and remove the steering wheel.
