Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

Preventing control unit damage caused by electrostatic discharge

Place the special tools (3) from the set of special tools 0 495 054 (12 7 060) ready.
The set of special tools consists of:
1. Ground cable for the antistatic mat
2. Ground cable for the component
3. Wrist cuff

Place the special tools (2) from the set of special tools 2 355 747 ready.
The set of special tools consists of:
1. Ground cable
2. Terminal

Connect the wrist cuff (1) with the terminal (2).

Secure the wrist cuff with terminal (1) on the wrist and the striker (2).

Lever out trim (1) with the special tool 0 493 681 (64 1 020) on both sides of the selector lever (2).

Unlock the plug connector (1) in the direction of the arrow.
Unthread the ribbon cable (2).

Loosen screw (2).
Remove selector lever (1) upwards.
