Releasing the wiring harness section from the left hand cylinder head cover

- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

Damage to wires when disconnecting connectors and plug connections.
Sheared wires can cause a short circuit.

- Do not pull on wires when disconnecting connectors and plug connections.
- Loosen screw (1).
- Release the clamps (arrows).
- Remove the wiring harness section (2) and put to one side.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Unlock the connector (2) of the oxygen sensor monitor and disconnect from the holder (3).
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1).
- Loosen screws (2).
- Release the cables (3) from the clamps.
- Release the clamps (arrows).
- Remove the wiring harness section (4) and put to one side.
- Unlock the holder (1).
- Carefully
pull the coolant hose (2) upwards over the refrigerant line (3) in the marked area and set aside.
- Loosen screw (1).
- Carefully
press the coolant hose (1) downward into the initial position.NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
- Unlock and disconnect the connectors (2) from the injectors with a small slotted screwdriver (1).
- Unlock the lock in the direction of the arrow with a small slotted screwdriver (1).
- Disconnect the connector (2) on the connector housing from the injector.
- Unlock the plug connections (1) and disconnect them from the injectors.
- Release nuts (2) and remove ground cable.
- Loosen screw (3).
- Guide the wiring harness section (4) out from the left hand cylinder head cover engine and set it aside.
- Feed out and remove the cover panel (1) on the left-hand cylinder head cover.

- Unlock plug connection (2) and disconnect.
- Release the wiring harness mounting in the areas (1).
- Loosen screw (2).
- Lay the grounding point (3) to one side.
- Place the wiring harness section (4) to the side.
- Release the wiring harness mounting (3).
- Release the wiring harness section (1) in the area (2).
- Unlock the holder (1).
- Carefully
pull the coolant hose (2) upwards over the refrigerant line (3) in the marked area and set aside.
- Carefully
press the coolant hose (1) downward into the initial position.
- Loosen screws (1).
- Release the wiring harness mounting (2).
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (3).
- Loosen screws (1).
- Lay the grounding point (2) to one side.
- Place the wiring harness section (4) to the side.
