Installing the rear door sill cover strip (electrical rear seat)
NOTE:

Application of too much force can lead to bending of plastic components .

- Place special tool directly beside the mounting clip.
- Continue unclipping the part without using the tool if possible.
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
- Check the snap-in lugs (1) for damage.
The snap-in lugs (1) must not be damaged or missing.
- Position the rear door sill cover strip (2) on the body.
- Engage the rear door sill cover strip (2) on the detents (3).
- Tighten down screws (1).

- Version A:
Check the detents (2) for damage, if necessary replace the illuminated sill trim (1).
Mount the illuminated sill trim (1) and connect and lock the connector while doing so.
Position the illuminated sill trim (1) and lock on the detentes (2).
- Version B:
Check the detents (2) for damage, if necessary replace the illuminated sill trim (1).
Mount the illuminated sill trim (1) and connect and lock the connector while doing so.
Position the illuminated sill trim (1) and lock on the detentes (2).
