Removing intake silencer housing

Prerequisite 

• Ignition is switched off.

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING THE ACOUSTIC COVER .
• Refer to REMOVING SUSPENSION STRUT BRACE .
• Refer to REMOVING RIGHT SUSPENSION STRUT BRACE .

Prerequisite 

Ignition is switched off.

• Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (1) of the Lambda oxygen sensors.
• Unlock the plug connection (2) and disconnect from the holder (3).
• Release the cable (4) of the Lambda oxygen sensor from clamps.

• Loosen clamps (1).

• Release the intake filter housing (1) up out of the rubber mounts (marks).
• Disconnect the intake filter housing (1) from the clean air pipe (2).
• Feed out the cable of the Lambda oxygen sensors through the opening (arrow) on the intake filter housing (1).
• Feed out and remove the intake silencer housing (1).
