- It is imperative that protruding threads of the transmission bolts are checked for corrosion and damage prior to removal.
- It is imperative that all rust is removed from corroded threads and that they are cleaned prior to removal.
- Replace rusted and damaged bolts.

- Protect engine from tipping movements.
- Follow the specifications in the repair instructions.

- Block flywheel with the special tools 0 494 129 (11 9 263)
(1) and 0 493 938 (11 9 260)
(2) and a transmission bolt M10x55 (3).
- Loosen screws (1) to (9).
- Loosen the transmission bolt (3).
- Remove special tools 0 494 129 (11 9 263) (1) and 0 493 938 (11 9 260) (2).
- Remove flywheel.
