Shifting the trunk lid manually can damage the spindle drive.

- Only shift trunk lid slowly hand force.

NOTE:
Perform the steps on the left and right side.
- Open the lower section of tailgate.
- Release the rubber cover (1) and fold down as shown.
- Slacken the screws (1) until the striker (2) can be moved.
- Slacken the screws (1) until the lower section of tailgate can be moved.
- Adjust tailgate height and lateral positioning.
Check
- Check the gap dimensions (arrowed) between trunk lid and adjacent components.
Result
» Gap dimensions do not correspond to the specifications.
Measure
- Adjust trunk lid.
- Tighten down screws (1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Lower section of tailgate to hinge Hexagon screw M8 tightening torque
19 Nm
