Removing The Rear Left Side Panel

• Mark and make separating cut (1) on D-pillar in accordance with dimension a. Disconnect only the outer panel.

  Dimension a = 145 mm from the corner of the side panel.

• Compare position of severance cut with reinforcement plate.

• Determine position of the severance cut in addition to the dimensions with the aid of a template (1).

• Mark and make separating cut (1) in the water channel in accordance with dimension a. Disconnect only the outer panel.

  Dimension a = 60mm from center of lower mounting bore.

• Loosen the soldered connection in the (2) area.

• Mark and make separating cut (1) on C-pillar in accordance with dimension a. Disconnect only the outer panel.

  Dimension a = 105 mm.

• Compare position of severance cut with reinforcement plate.

• Mark and make separating cut (1) on door sill in accordance with dimension a. Disconnect only the outer panel.

  Dimension = 135 mm from the center point of the hole Ø 20 mm.

• Compare position of severance cut with reinforcement plate.

• Release welded connections in areas (1) and (2).

• Loosen welded connections in areas (1).

• Release the spot-welded adhesive joints in area (2).

• Release folded bonded joints in area (3).
• Release side panel from cavity sealing (4) and remove.
