Removing the door sill trim panel
Preliminary work
- Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING THE FRONT WHEEL ARCH TRIM (DOOR SILL) .
- Refer to REMOVING THE REAR DOOR .
Prerequisite
Front door is open.
NOTE:

- Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
- Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.
- Release the rear wheel arch trim (1) at the clips (2).
- Unscrew all bolts and nuts (arrows).
- Release door sill trim panel (1) from rear starting at clip (2).
- Carefully release door sill trim panels (1) along broken line with a suitable plastic wedge from detents and remove.
If necessary, unlock respective plug connection and disconnect.
