Removing the holder for the right-hand DME control unit
WARNING:

- Make sure that there is no charger connected to the jump start terminal in the engine compartment.
- Detach battery ground lead from battery.
- For auxiliary batteries: Detach battery minus cables from all auxiliary batteries.

- Detach battery terminal from battery pole. Do not pry off using a tool.

Preliminary work
- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
- Refer to REMOVING THE TOP LEFT COVER IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT and REMOVE THE TOP RIGHT COVER IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT .

- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

If control units are disconnected, fault memory entries and functional limitations may occur.
The fault memory entries must be read out and, if necessary, deleted.

- Unlock the locks (1).
- Guide the cover (1) in direction of arrow out of the bracket (2) and remove.
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1).
- Unlock and disconnect the connector (2) from the bracket (3).
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1).
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (2).
- Unlock locks (1) and guide out DME control unit (2) and remove.
- Unlock lock (3) and slide out and remove the integrated supply module (PDM).
- Unlock the lock (1).
- Guide out wiring harness section (2) in direction of arrow and remove.
- Loosen screw (1).
- Guide out bracket (2) for DME control unit and set aside.
- Loosen clamp (3).
- Remove bracket (1) for the DME control unit.
