Moving the engine to the installation position

Position the special tool 0 496 437 (00 6 052) between the screws (1) on the connecting support.

When positioning the special tools 0 496 438 (00 6 053) between the strut brace and the tension strut, make sure the brake line (1) does not get damaged.

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Conduct the following operation with the assistance of a second person.
Carefully position engine bridge (1) with help from an assistant.
Correctly position the special tools 0 496 437 (00 6 052) and 0 496 438 (00 6 053) on the left and right.

Prepare special tool 0 490 567 (11 0 020).

If necessary, release the nuts (1) and reposition the engine bridge (2).

By shifting it on the profile strips of the special tool 0 496 430 (00 6 050), align the engine bridge above the engine mounting brackets and screw in place.
Connect the hooks with the engine mounting brackets.

Release the screw (1) from the right wheel well.

Loosen screw (1).
Remove the right hand reinforcement strut (2).

Release the screw (1) of the right engine mount with a standard tool.

Release the screws (1) of the left engine mount from the bottom.

Lift the engine by 10 mm by turning the spindle 2 361 506 (00 6 103).
