Installing both bottom D-pillar trim panels

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Installing the bottom D-pillar trim panel

Check the clamp (1) and clip (2) on the D-pillar trim panel (3) for damage and replace if necessary.

If installed: Fasten the Bowden cable for the backrest remote unlocking

Attach the Bowden cable (1) on the bottom D-pillar trim panel (2).
Lock the Bowden cable (1) on the bottom D-pillar trim panel (2) in direction of arrow.

Feed in the D-pillar trim panel (1) under the sealing lip of the tailgate seal.
Position the bottom D-pillar trim panel (1) in the guides (4) and lock in place with the clip (3) and clamp (2).

Tighten the screws (1) on the bottom D-pillar trim panel (2).

TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Bottom D-pillar trim panel to body
Thermoplastic oval-head screw	Tightening torque	2.6 Nm
