Install the positive battery cable from the starter motor to the auxiliary terminal for jump starting
Positive battery cable from the starter motor to the remote positive terminal
Precondition
CAUTION:
Improper routing of the positive battery cable.
Risk of short circuits!
Risk of short circuits!
- Route the positive battery cable without abrasions and do not trap.
- Insert and install the positive battery cable (1).
- Secure the clamps (arrows).
- Version 1:
Insert and install the positive battery cable (1).
Shift the positive battery cable (1) to the stop (2) on the starter motor.
Tighten the nut (3).
TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

- Version 2:
Connect the positive battery cable (1) to the starter motor.
Move the positive battery cable (1) on the anti-twist lock (2) to the stop.
Tighten the nut (3).

- Place the retaining plate (2).
- Tighten nuts (1).
TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
| Retaining plates for underbody cover | ||
| Sheet metal nut/plastic nut Replace nuts. |
Tightening torque | 3 Nm |
- Insert and install the positive battery cable (2).
- Tighten the nut (1).
TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
| Battery positive lead to battery positive terminal | ||
| M8 | Tightening torque | 19 Nm |
- Insert and install the cover (2) in the direction of the arrow.
The locks (1) must engage audibly.
