Installing the DME control unit

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION 
If the DDE control unit or an injector has been replaced, it will also be necessary to carry out injection quantity compensation. The adjustment value (7-character letter code/number code) for the injection quantity compensation is engraved on each injector.

Follow instructions for removing and installing control units.

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION 
Control unit must be programed after it is replaced.
For additional information see: PROGRAMMING/ENCODING THE CONTROL UNIT(S) INCLUDING DELETION OF FAULT MEMORY (AFTER VEHICLE TEST) .
NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION 
If control units are disconnected, fault memory entries and functional limitations may occur.
The fault memory entries must be read out and, if necessary, deleted.
