Removing the front trim strip
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT ORNAMENTAL GRILLE .
- Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING THE LEFT AND FRONT RIGHT WHEEL ARCH TRIM .
- Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING THE FRONT SECTIONS OF BOTH WHEEL ARCH COVERS AT THE FRONT .

- Protect working area.
- Handle tools and components carefully.
- Loosen trim strip (1) from inside from the detents (2) using a suitable tool. In doing so, lift off the trim strip (1) from the outside using the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325) .
