Disconnecting the coolant lines

Collect and dispose of emerging fluids. Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations.

- Unlock and disconnect the coolant line (1).
- Catch and dispose of escaping coolant.
- Unlock the lock (1).
- Remove the cover panel (2) above on the cooling module.
- Unlock the coolant hose (1) and disconnect it from the radiator of the low-temperature coolant circuit.
- Catch and dispose of escaping coolant.
- Unlock lock (1).
- Pull coolant expansion tank (2) of the low-temperature coolant circuit upwards slightly.
- Dispose of emerging coolant.
- Unlock and loosen coolant line (1).
- Unlock and loosen coolant line (2).
- Catch and dispose of escaping coolant.
- Feed out and remove the coolant expansion tank of the low-temperature coolant circuit.NOTE: The following step(s) must be performed if the specified component(s) is/are installed.
- Unlock and release coolant line (1).
- Unlock and loosen the locks (2).
- Lift the coolant expansion tank (3) and feed out the grommet (4) while doing so.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Unlock and release the coolant line (2).
- Catch and dispose of escaping coolant.
- Thread out coolant expansion tank (3) and remove.
