Fastening the charge air crossing
Charge air crossing
Precondition
Fan cowl removed.
WARNING:
Hot surfaces.
Risk of burning!

- Perform all work only on components that have cooled down.
- Ensure that guide sleeves (1) are present and have been installed correctly
- Ensure that guide sleeves (1) are present and have been installed correctly
- Connect connectors (1) and lock.
The connectors (1) must engage audibly.
- Insert and install the charge air crossing (1) in the arrow direction.
- Secure the clamp (1).
- Check seal (1) for damage, replace if necessary.
Replacing the damaged seal
NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Use of sharp or pointy tools for installation or removal is prohibited. - Remove damaged seal.
- Clean the gasket groove (1) with a dry cloth.
The gasket groove (1) must be clean.
- Replace gasket.

- Install the seal dry without lubricant or mounting agent.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Incorrect assembly is possible. Ensure correct installation position. - Thread in seal and install.
- Make sure that the seal is installed correctly in the gasket groove (1).
- Make sure that the sealing lip (2) is directed to the inside as shown.
- Lock clamp (1).
- Connect the charge air crossing (2) to the charge air duct (1).
- Check seal (1) for damage, replace if necessary.

- Insert the charge air crossing (2) and position it.

Charge air duct on spacers M6x25 screw tightening torque 10 Nm
