Installing the cover panel on the windscreen

- Clean the adhesive area of the windshield and pre-treat with Sika activator -205.
The Sika activator -205 must not get onto adhesive area of adhesive bead.
ADHESIVE SPECIFICATION
| Activator -205 | 250 ml, Bottle | 83190030155 |
- Adhere to the air drying time of 1 min at least.
- Reposition the lever (1)
and open the special tool 0 496 529 (51 3 320)
.
- Detach protective film (2) in stages from adhesive tape.
- Replace the cover (1)
.
Parts: Cover, windshield, top
- Insert the cover (1)
into the guide pulleys (3)
.
- Place the special tool with the pressure rollers (1) up against the window edge.
- Align the cover panel on the outer edge of the window glass.
- Fit the cover and visually check for perfect fit.
- Move the lever (1) in the arrow direction and close the special tool.
- Make sure the cover (3)
fits correctly in the guide pulleys (2)
.
- Continue to detach protective film (1) in stages from adhesive tape.
- Use the handwheel to move the special tool over the entire upper edge of the window glass.
