When replacing the dashboard trim panel: Remount the air ducts

Preliminary work 

• Deactivate the 48 v ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
• Disconnect all battery GROUND LEADS .
• Remove the right footwell TRIM PANEL .
• Remove the pedal mechanism TRIM PANEL .
• Remove the center console TRIM .
• Remove the front STORAGE COMPARTMENT .
• Remove the rear center console TRIM .
• Remove the CENTER CONSOLE .
• Remove right GLOVE COMPARTMENT .
• Remove center dashboard DECORATIVE STRIP .
• Remove the CENTRAL INFORMATION DISPLAY (CID).
• Remove the right dashboard DECORATIVE STRIP .
• Remove the radio operating unit and the air conditioning CONTROL PANEL .
• Remove HEAD UNIT .
• Remove the left dashboard DECORATIVE STRIP .
• Remove left FOLD-OUT COMPARTMENT .
• Remove left and right a-pillar TRIM PANEL .
• Remove the right dashboard SIDE PANEL .
• Remove the left dashboard SIDE PANEL .
• Remove the light OPERATING UNIT .
• Remove the steering wheel or sports steering wheel AIRBAG UNIT .
• Remove the M sports steering wheel AIRBAG UNIT .
• Remove STEERING WHEEL .
• Remove steering lower section column SHROUD .
• Remove steering upper section column SHROUD .
• Remove the steering column SWITCH CLUSTER (SZL).
• Remove the INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (KOMBI).
• Remove instrument PANEL TRIM .
• Remove the dashboard speaker TRIM .
• Remove the dashboard speaker HOLDER .
• Remove front passenger AIRBAG .

• Release air duct on the right (1) at the detents (2) and remove.
• Mount the air duct (1) on the right on the new dashboard trim panel and engage at the detents (2).

• Release air duct on the left (1) at the detents (2) and remove.
• Mount the air duct (1) on the left on the new dashboard trim panel and engage at the detents (2).

Follow-up work 

• Install the front passenger AIRBAG .
• Install the dashboard speaker HOLDER .
• Install the dashboard speaker TRIM .
• Install instrument panel TRIM .
• Install the INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (KOMBI).
• Install the steering column SWITCH CLUSTER (SZL).
• Fit steering upper section column SHROUD .
• Install steering lower section column SHROUD .
• Install STEERING WHEEL .
• Install the M sports steering wheel AIRBAG UNIT .
• Install the steering wheel or sports steering wheel AIRBAG UNIT .
• Install the light OPERATING UNIT .
• Install the left dashboard SIDE PANEL .
• Install the right dashboard SIDE PANEL .
• Install left and right a-pillar TRIM PANEL .
• Install left fold-out COMPARTMENT .
• Install the left dashboard DECORATIVE STRIP .
• Install HEAD UNIT .
• Install radio operating unit and air conditioning CONTROL PANEL .
• Install the right dashboard DECORATIVE STRIP .
• Install the CENTRAL INFORMATION DISPLAY (CID).
• Install center dashboard DECORATIVE STRIP .
• Install right GLOVE COMPARTMENT .
• Install the CENTER CONSOLE .
• Install the right footwell TRIM PANEL .
• Install the pedal assembly TRIM PANEL .
• Install the front STORAGE COMPARTMENT .
• Install the center console TRIM .
• Install the rear center console TRIM .
• Reconnect all battery GROUND LEADS .
• Activate the 48 v ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
