Installing coolant expansion tank

WARNING: Hot surfaces.
Risk of burning!

Perform all work only on components that have cooled down.

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Immobilization period-long fill of coolant!
Do not reuse used coolant.
When replacing and removing components which rely on the corrosion protection effect of the coolant, it is essential to change the coolant. The cooling system must therefore be emptied and refilled.
In the case of other removal work involving the draining of part quantities of coolant, the coolant level must be topped up with new coolant.

Connect connectors (1) and lock.
The connector (1) must engage audibly.
Connect and lock the coolant line (2) to the coolant expansion tank (3).

The coolant line (2) must audibly engage.

Thread the coolant expansion tank (3) in at the grommet (4).
Install the coolant expansion tank (3) and lock it at the locking mechanisms (2).

NOTE: The following step(s) must be performed if the listed component(s) is/are installed.

Connect and lock the coolant lines (1) to the coolant expansion tank (3).
The coolant lines (1) must engage audibly.
Loosen sealing cap (1).

Top up coolant to maximum mark.
Close the sealing cap (1) until it lines up with the arrows.

Follow-up work

Install the low-temperature coolant circuit coolant EXPANSION TANK .
Install the front left bottom wheel arch COVER .
Install the front UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
