Removing the engine wiring harness for sensor system 2
WARNING:
Working on 12 V electrical system.

- Make sure that there is no charger connected to the jump start terminal in the engine compartment.
- Detach battery ground lead from battery.
- For auxiliary batteries: Detach battery minus cables from all auxiliary batteries.

Engine wiring harness for sensor system 2

- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

Damage to wires when disconnecting connectors and plug connections.
Sheared wires can cause a short circuit.

- Do not pull on wires when disconnecting connectors and plug connections.
- Unlock and disconnect engine ventilation line (1).
- Feed the engine ventilation line (1) out and set it aside.
- Unlock tank ventilation lines (2) and disconnect.
- Guide out tank ventilation lines (2) from the clamp (arrow) and set them aside.
- Remove the cover (1) and pull it up.
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1).
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (2).
- Unlock holder (3) and disconnect.
- Feed out engine wiring harness (4) of sensor system 2 and set aside.
- Loosen screw (1).
- Release tank ventilation line (2) from the intake plenum.
- Loosen screws (3).
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1).
- Release the clamps (arrows).
- Feed out the engine wiring harness (2) for the sensor system 2 and set it aside.
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1).
- Loosen screw (2).
- Unlock and detach the locks (arrows).
- Loosen clamps (3).
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Release the clamps (arrows).
- Feed out engine wiring harness (2) of sensor system 2 upwards and set aside.
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1).
- Unlock plug connection (2) and disconnect.
- Release the clamps (arrows).
- Feed out engine wiring harness (3) of sensor system 2 and set aside.
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1).
- Unlock and disconnect connector (2).
- Loosen clamp (3).
- Unlock the locks (arrows).
- Feed out engine wiring harness (4) of sensor system 2 and set aside.
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1).
- Release the clamps (arrows).
- Feed out the engine wiring harness (2) for the sensor system 2 and set it aside.
- Feed out and remove the engine wiring harness (1) for the sensor system 2.
