Remove coolant expansion tank
Preliminary work
- Remove the front UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- Remove bottom left front wheel arch COVER .
- Remove the low-temperature coolant circuit coolant EXPANSION TANK .
WARNING:
Hot surfaces.

- Perform all work only on components that have cooled down.

Only flexible hose pipes may be disconnected.

- Use commercially available disconnection tools to pinch off the coolant lines.
- Use commercially available syringe (1) or a suitable tool to empty the coolant expansion tank.
- Loosen (1) sealing cap.
- Draw off coolant with standard pump. NOTE: The following step(s) must be performed if the listed component(s) is/are installed.
- Unlock and release coolant line (1).
- Unlock and loosen the locks (2).
- Lift coolant expansion tanks (3) and guide out the grommet (4).NOTE: Only flexible hose pipes may be disconnected.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Unlock the coolant line (2) and detach it.
- Catch and dispose of leakage coolant.
- Thread out coolant expansion tank (3) and remove.
