Installing the front axle support (raising)
NOTE:
Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Position the front subframe (1) with the universal jack under the vehicle.
- Position the front subframe (1) on the adapter (2) for the front subframe (1).
- Carefully raise the front axle support with the universal jack 0 490 133 (00 2 030) and position on the body.NOTE: When lifting, observe the correct position of the wishbone, tension struts and tie rods.
Fasten front axle support
Securing the front axle support adapter on the front axle support on the right and left
NOTE: Perform the steps on the right and left side. - Position the adapter (1) for the front subframe (2) on the front subframe (2).
- Tighten down screws (3).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Adapter, front axle support to front axle support M8x80 Tightening torque 19 Nm Attaching left and right crash levers
NOTE: The following step(s) must be performed if the listed component(s) is/are installed. - Replace nut (1).

- Insert screw (2).
- Tighten nut (1).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Crash lever on front subframe M12
Replace nut.tightening torque 65 Nm - Replace screws (1) to (3).

Front axle carrier to body, front M12x115
Replace screws.Joining torque 100 Nm Angle of rotation 90° - Tighten down screws (2).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Front axle support to center of body M12x90
Replace screws.Joining torque 100 Nm Angle of rotation 90° - Tighten down screws (3).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Front axle carrier to body, rear M14
Replace screws.Joining torque 100 Nm Angle of rotation 90° - If necessary, remove the special tool (tensioning strap) 0 496 080 (33 5 206).
- Lower the Universal Jack 0 490 133 (00 2 030) and place to one side.
