Installing the heat shield on the exhaust turbocharger for the cylinders 1 to 3

• Check the heat shield (1) for damage, replace heat shield if necessary (1).

• Insert and install the heat shield (1) for the exhaust turbocharger cylinders 1 to 3.

• Replace screws (1).

  Parts:  Screws

• Tighten the screws (1).
  TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
  
  

  Heat shield to cylinder head
  M8X17.5 Replace screws.	Tightening torque	10 Nm

• Check seal (1) for damage; replace seal (1) is necessary.

Replacing the damaged seal 

• Remove damaged seal.
• Clean the gasket groove (1) with a dry cloth.

  The gasket groove (1) must be clean.

• Replace gasket.

  Parts:  Gasket

• Install the seal dry without lubricant or mounting agent.
  NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION 
  Incorrect assembly is possible. Ensure correct installation position.
• Thread in seal and install.
• Make sure that the seal is installed correctly in the gasket groove (1).
• Make sure that the sealing lip (2) is directed to the inside as shown.

• Detach locks (1) from the holders in the arrow direction.

• Guide in the clean air pipe (2) for cylinders 4 through 6 and install it.
• Ensure that the locks (1) lock audibly.

• Guide in the right air routing (2) in the arrow direction and install it.

  The clamps (1) must snap in audibly.
