Installing the two catalytic converters

• Replace V-ribbon clips (1).

• Remove the pressure hose (1),
• Replace the pressure hose (1).

• Install pressure hose (1) and insert it up to the stop,

• Remove the pressure hose (1).
• Replace the pressure hose (1).

• Install pressure hose (1) and insert it up to the stop.

• Feed in the catalytic converter (cylinders 1 to 3)  (1) and place it.

• Feed in and install the catalytic converter (cylinders 4 to 6) (1).

• Tighten the V-ribbon clip (1) hand-tight  .

• Insert the pressure hose (1)  up to the stop.

• Insert and install the holder (3).
• Tighten the screws (2).
  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Catalytic converter holder to automatic transmission switch
  M8X20	Tightening torque	19 Nm

• Nuts (1) must be hand-tightened  .
• Feed in and install the catalytic converter (cylinders 1  to 3) (2).
• Tighten the V-ribbon clip (1) hand-tight  .

• Insert the pressure hose (1)  up to the stop.

• Have the special tool 5 A0B 116 ready.

• Remove the seals (1) from the catalytic converters (2).

• Guide in and position special tool 5 A0B 116 on the two catalytic converters.
• Tighten the nuts (arrows) until hand-tight.

• Tighten the V-ribbon clip (1) from the catalytic converter (cylinders 1 to 3) (2).

  cl Replace clamp after disassembly.	Tightening torque	14 Nm

• Tighten V-band clamp (1).

• Unscrew the nuts (arrows).
• Feed out and remove the special tool 5 A0B 116 .

• Release nuts (1).
• Loosen screws (2)  .
• Guide out and remove holder (3).
