Installing the connecting brackets on the exhaust turbocharger for the cylinders 4 to 6

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage to the surface .
The use of metal-cutting tools (e.g., emery cloths) for cleaning surfaces can damage them and lead to leaks and/or engine damage .

Do not use any metal-cutting tools.

Clean the sealing surface (1) using special tool 0 495 102 (11 4 470) .

Check the sealing ring (1) for damage and replace the sealing ring (1) as needed.
Wet sealing ring (1) with approved lubricant grease.
INSTALLATION AID SPECIFICATION

Lubricants G14 900 ml, Can 83232360412

Guide in and install the connecting bracket (2) for cylinders 4 to 6.

Tighten the screws (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Connecting brackets on exhaust turbocharger
M6	tightening torque	8 Nm

Check the heat shield (1) for damage, replace heat shield if necessary (1).

Feed in and install the heat shield (1).

Tighten the screws (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Heat shield to cylinder head
M8X17.5 Replace screws.	tightening torque	10 Nm

Check seal (1) for damage; replace seal (1) is necessary.

Replacing the damaged seal

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Use of sharp or pointy tools for installation or removal is prohibited.
Remove damaged seal.
Clean the gasket groove (1) with a dry cloth.
The gasket groove (1) must be clean.

Replace gasket.
Parts: Gasket
Install the seal dry without lubricant or mounting agent.
NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Incorrect assembly is possible. Ensure correct installation position.
Thread in seal and install.
Make sure that the seal is installed correctly in the gasket groove (1).
Make sure that the sealing lip (2) is directed to the inside as shown.

Detach locks (1) from the holders in the arrow direction.

Guide in the clean air pipe (2) for cylinders 4 through 6 and install it.
Ensure that the locks (1) lock audibly.

Guide in the right air routing (2) in the arrow direction and install it.
The clamps (1) must snap in audibly.
