Remove both tail lights from the side panel

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING THE FLAP IN THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANEL ON THE LEFT .
• Refer to REMOVING FLAP IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANEL ON RIGHT .

Removing the tail light on the side panel 

• Open the bracket (3) of the warning triangle (1) and remove the warning triangle (1).
• Release the screw (2) and remove the bracket (3) of the warning triangle (1).

• Unclip the clip (1) with the special tool 2 298 505 .
• Unclip the cover (2) of the water channel.

  NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE 
  Careless handling of tools and sharpened components  .
  Scratches, surface damage  .

  • Protect working area.
  • Handle tools and components carefully.
• Protect the body in the area of the rear light (3) with adhesive tape.
• Release the screw (1) of the tail light (3).
• Loosen the nuts (2) of the tail light (3).

• Remove the rear light (1) to the rear and unlock and disconnect the plug connection (2).
