Removing the engine wiring harness for sensor system 1

WARNING: Working on 12 V electrical system .
Risk of short circuits! Risk of fire!

Make sure that there is no charger connected to the jump start terminal in the engine compartment.
Detach battery ground lead from battery.
For auxiliary batteries: Detach battery minus cables from all auxiliary batteries.

Precondition

Battery is disconnected.

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage to wires when disconnecting connectors and plug connections .
Sheared wires can cause a short circuit .

Do not pull on wires when disconnecting connectors and plug connections.

Electrostatic discharge .
Damage to or destruction of electrical components .

Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

Loosen screws (1).
Guide out the tension strut (2) upwards and remove.

Detach positive battery terminal (1).
Guide out the battery positive terminal (1) and place to the side.
Guide the positive battery cable (2) out of the holder (3) and lay to one side.

Loosen screw (1).
Unlock the cover (2) and feed out of the guides (3) in the direction of the arrow and remove.

Feed connector (1) in arrow direction out of E-Box (2) and remove.
Unlock and loosen connector (1).

Unlock and remove the connector (1) in the direction of the arrow.
Feed out connector (1) and place to one side.

Unlock and loosen connector (1).

Thread out positive battery cable (1) and set it aside.
Unlock lock (2).
Feed wiring harness section (3) for injectors and ignition coils out in arrow direction, and place to side.

Unlock the locks (1).
Feed out the wiring harness section (2) for the Valvetronic servomotor in the direction of the arrow and set aside.

Unlock and loosen holder (1).
Feed out the wiring harness section (1) for the sensor system 1 and put it aside.

Unlock lock (1).
Feed wiring harness section (3) for sensor system 1 out of guide (2), and place to side.

Unlock the locking mechanism (1).
Guide out and remove holder (2).

Loosen screws (1).
Feed out engine wiring harness (2) of sensor system 1 and set aside.
Loosen screw (3).
Feed out ground cable (4) and set it aside.

Unlock and release the connector of the DME control unit.
Unlock and release the connector of the integrated power supply module (PDM).
Unlock and detach the connector of the boost pressure on the intake plenum.
Unlock and loosen the connector of the heat management module.

Unlock and release connector of coolant temperature sensor on cylinder head.
Unlock and loosen the connectors of the knock sensors.
Unlock and detach the connector of the temperature sensor at the cylinder head.
Unlock and detach the connector of the oil pressure switch.
Unlock and detach the connector of the hydraulic valve.
Unlock and detach the connector of the crankshaft sensor.
Unlock the connector of the boost pressure sensor on the throttle valve and release.
Unlock and detach the connector on the throttle valve.
Unlock and detach the connector of the alternator.
Unlock and detach the connector of the air conditioning compressor.
Unlock and release connector of coolant temperature sensor on coolant radiator.
Feed out engine wiring harness (1) for sensor system 1 and remove it.
