Installing the front underbody protection

• Guide the front underbody protection (1)  in under the bumper panel (2)  and position it at the screw points.
• Tighten screws (arrows).

  	Tightening torque	3 Nm

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION .

  Removal: 

  Loosen screws (1).

  Remove air duct.

  Pull intermediate shaft with support tube (1) out of transfer box.

  Installation: 

  Coat gearing of intermediate shaft uniformly with 5g grease.

  Grease: Lubricating grease Optitemp HT 1 LF; part number 83 23 0 417 754

  Install intermediate shaft with support tube (1) in transfer box.

  Attention! 

  Check for correct screw length!

  Bolt M8x35 8.8

  Tighten down screws (1).

  Tightening torque 31 60 3AZ .
