Strictly observe the specified procedure to prevent clamping errors and imbalance.

- Turn the wheel with the valve (arrow) pointing down.
- If several wheels are removed simultaneously: Use a piece of chalk to mark on each tire the axle and side on which the corresponding wheel is fitted.
- Mark the alignment of the wheel with respect to the wheel hub.
- Mark the position of the lockable wheel stud (arrow).
- Release the lug bolts and remove the wheel.
Use the matching adapter from tool set 0 492 518 (36 1 300) (wheel bolt adapter set) to release and tighten down the lug bolt with security code.
