Remove the cover on the window frame

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Preliminary work

Refer to REMOVING COVER ON DOOR HANDLE .
Refer to REMOVING FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL .

Precondition

The door window glass is open.

Lever out the cover (1) at the clamps (2) .
Carefully thread out the cover (1) to the bottom.
The cover (1) must not be bent.
Remove the cover (1) and disconnect the plug connection where required.
