Remove the spindle drive of the tailgate at right

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Removing spindle drive of the tailgate

CAUTION: Shutting hood or trunk lid .
Injury hazard!

Support hood/trunk lid in fully open position with the aid of a suitable device.

Remove grommet (1) from the body panel.
Unlock and disconnect the two plug connections (2).
The plug connections (2) must be outside the body.

Open locks (1) on spindle drive (2) at the top and bottom and remove spindle drive (2).
