51 16 178 Removing and installing (replacing) side clip at center console

Special tools required:

00 9 327

When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).

Removal:

Lever out and remove the cover (1) using special tool 00 9 327 .

Unfasten screws (2).

Lever out and remove the cover (1) using special tool 00 9 327 .

Unfasten screws (2).

Lever out and remove the insert (1) using special tool 00 9 327 .

Release screw (2).

Lever out the trim (3) from the clamps (4) towards the rear using special tool 00 9 327 .

Disconnect the plug connections and remove the trim (3).

Release screw (1).

Remove the decorative trim detailing (2) and in this process, disconnect all plug connections.

Installation:

Install the decorative trim detailing (2) and in this process connect all plug connections.

Tighten screw (1).

Tightening torque 51 16 7AZ .

Install the trim (3) and connect the plug connections.

Engage the trim (3) with the clamps (4).

Tighten screw (2).

Tightening torque 51 16 7AZ .

Insert the insert (1).

Install and engage the cover (1).
