Cross Connection Removal And Installation

Necessary preliminary work 

• Remove INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .

Removal 

Release screws (1) and (2).

Release the clamps (3) for the Bowden cable of the bonnet lock.

Lever out expanding rivet (1).

Unfasten screws (2).

Lever out expanding rivet (1).

Release screws (2) and remove the cross connection (3).

Installation 

Installed on the right side only on vehicles with production date as of: 12/2016 

Secure the spray guard (1) on the cross connection (2) as illustrated.

Install cross connection. Fit all screws.

Tighten screw (1).

Tightening torque: FRONT APRON .

Tighten down screws (2).

Tightening torque: GASKETS AND LOOSE BODY COMPONENTS

Secure the clamps (3) for the Bowden cable of the bonnet lock on the cross connection.

Tighten down screws (2).

Tightening torque: FRONT APRON .

Join expanding rivet (1).

Tighten down screws (2).

Tightening torque: FRONT APRON .

Join expanding rivet (1).

Installed on the right side only on vehicles with production date as of: 12/2016 

Properly mount spray guard (1) to prevent corrosion.

Secure the spray guard (1) by means of the retaining tabs (2) on the locking bridge.

Required follow-up work: 

• Install INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .
