63 21 035 Replacing bulb holder for left or right rear light (in tailgate)

WARNING: Follow instructions for handling light bulbs (EXTERIOR LIGHTS) .

Removal:

Unclip cover (1) outwards from tailgate trim panel.

Unlock and disconnect corresponding connector as necessary.

Press the locks (1) together to disengage them.

Remove the bulb socket (2) from the rear light.

Replacement:

Remount the bulbs (1; 2).

Do this by carefully pressing bulb (1; 2) into bulb socket (3) and turning anti-clockwise.

Then pull bulb (1; 2) out of bulb socket (3).

Insert bulb (1; 2) into the new bulb socket (4).

Do this by carefully pressing bulb (1; 2) into bulb socket (3) and turning fully clockwise.

Installation:

Insert bulb holder (2) in rear light.

Connect corresponding connector as necessary.

NOTE: Ensure bulb holder (2) is correctly locked (1) and fitted in rear light.

Installation note:

Retaining lugs on trim (1) must not be damaged or missing.

Clip cover (1) into tailgate trim panel from outside to inside.

Installation note:

Make sure trim (1) is correctly fitted.
