32 31 003 Replacing the steering column shroud upper section

Move steering column in "bottom" and "extended" position.

Push steering column shroud (1) upwards at rear and unclip.

Repeat process on right side.

Unclip steering column gap cover (1) out of steering column shroud upper section.

Installation note: 

To prevent rolling out of the gap cover, the guide rib (1) on the steering column shroud upper section must be trimmed in F48 vehicles up to 04/2016.

1st trim: 

Cut off the shaded area of the guide rib (1).

Dimension A = approx. 5 mm
