11 37 020 Removing and installing/replacing servomotor for eccentric shaft

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove ACOUSTIC COVER
Remove CROSS CONNECTION

Removal:

Release screw (1).

Remove top partition wall (2) in upwards direction.

Unlock and disconnect the connector (1).

Release screws (1).

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage to intermediate shaft.

Use a reversible ratchet (1) and 4 mm hexagon socket wrench to turn the servomotor in direction of arrow to the left and relax the intermediate shaft.

NOTE: Do not rotate shaft too far (maximum/end stop).

Remove actuator drive.

Installation:

Detach the shaft seal (1) in direction of arrow and replace.

NOTE: Press the shaft seal (1) to the limit position on the housing.

Insert controller drive (1) as far as the gearing.

Use a 4 mm hexagon socket wrench to screw in the controller drive (1) in direction of arrow as far as the limit position.

Tighten screws (1).

Tightening torque: 11 37 2AZ .

Connect the plug (1).

Install top partition wall (2).

Tighten screw (1).

Required follow-up work:

Install CROSS CONNECTION
Install ACOUSTIC COVER
Check function of Digital Engine Electronics.
