11 36 658 Removing and installing/replacing both actuators

Special tools required: 

• 2 360 895

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Remove ACOUSTIC COVER
• Remove AIR INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING

Removal: 

Release clamp (1).

Remove the clean air pipe (2).

Unlock the cable routing (1) and pull it off the cylinder head cover in upward direction.

Unlock and disconnect the connector (1) for the intake actuator.

Unlock and disconnect the connector (2) for the exhaust actuator.

Twist the intake actuator (1) in the direction of the arrow by approximately 50° using special tool 2 360 895 and remove it.

Twist the intake actuator (1) in the direction of the arrow by approximately 50° using special tool 2 360 895 and remove it.

Installation: 

Position the exhaust actuator (1) and twist it in the in direction of the arrow using special tool 2 360 895 until the limit position is in contact with the clamp.

Position the intake actuator (1) and twist it in the in direction of the arrow using special tool 2 360 895 until the limit position is in contact with the clamp.

Connect the connector (1) for the intake actuator.

Connect the connector (2) for the exhaust actuator.

Clip the cable routing (1) into the cylinder head cover from above.

Install the clean air pipe (2).

Connect the clamp (1).

Required follow-up work: 

• Install AIR INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING
• Install ACOUSTIC COVER
• Check engine function and check for leak tightness
