- 13 5 160
- 13 5 162
- 00 9 030
Attention!
When replacing the engine:
In all vehicles, the digital engine electronics (DME) must, if necessary, be reprogrammed/re-encoded after replacing the engine.
Read the vehicle I-level and proceed accordingly.
PuMA measure 62634754 must be observed (see appropriate BMW parts catalogue).
Attention!
Replacing the engine may cause damage on the valve gear due to a lack of engine oil.
It is imperative to observe REPAIR NOTES FOR ENGINE REPLACEMENT .
Recycling:
Catch and dispose of escaping fuel with auxiliary materials.
Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations.
Attention!
Seal openings or lines on air conditioning with special tool 32 1 270 to prevent escape of media and contamination.
Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove ACOUSTIC COVER
- Remove BATTERY
- Remove POWER DISTRIBUTION BOX
- Remove FRONT AXLE COMPLETELY
- Remove both OUTPUT SHAFTS
